Busy summer chess tournament season is about to start!

Beginning of the summer is the time of the year when chess players of all levels get a lot of opportunities to join large open tournaments to test their skills and compete for prizes. Just this weekend, there was the New Yorker Open in Manhattan and a large tournament in Chicago. In few weeks, the annual New York International (organized by the Marshall Chess Club) starts, and soon after that the largest tournament – the World Open , will draw chess crowds to compete (this time it takes place in Arlington, VA). If you are serious about your preparation, you may consider my help as a coach- I can share all of my experience in competing in this type of events, help you with polishing your opening repertoire and give you a set of instructive positions/annotated games in each of them. Also, please check my blog post about preparing for/ playing in these weekend tournaments. Good luck and have fun playing!
